CONTROL Resonant Puzzle Solutions: Laundry and Art Gallery
The exact washing machine sequence for the Central laundry puzzle, the art gallery painting route, and where the other hidden puzzle families are.
Two hidden puzzles are fully documented: the washing machines in Central and the paintings in the Evacuation Zone gallery. Each has a hint you can read in the world, and that hint is what you should follow when guides disagree. Both rewards are behind a hidden door rather than a quest marker.
The laundry puzzle in Central
Find the laundry on the eastern side of Central. On the map, mark the horizontal street directly above the legend label for East Park Station, then look for the shop on that street.
Inside, read the paper titled While You Wait. It lists seven rows of zeros and ones. A zero means the machine stays off, a one means it must be running. Machines with an out of order sign are always zero.

Why the paper beats the guides
Published guides describe the rows by position: the middle machine of one line, two machines in the next, the two end machines of a third. Those descriptions are easy to get wrong when a row has out of order machines in it.
Read the sheet in the world and match the digits. If a row reads 000000, that whole line stays off, which is why some guides sound contradictory.
What the laundry unlocks
Behind the door is a Secret Hideout with a Health Upgrade Point and two documents. The upgrade point alone makes it worth the two minutes.
The art gallery puzzle in the Evacuation Zone
This one sits in the Konstig gallery, near the centre of the Evacuation Zone, past the fast travel door. The exhibition is called Echo.
Pick up the document at the front desk. It lists the paintings sold under four words. Your job is to light the artwork that matches each word, using the switches beside each group of paintings.
One route that matches the document starts with the middle picture on the left wall, then the first picture on the front wall, then the first picture on the wall to the right of it. The word list is the reliable part, so check the sheet before flipping switches.
The other puzzle families
Two more families exist and are not documented here yet. The Unsupervised Science side quest places puzzles inside hidden underground testing facilities, and it uses two types: carrying objects back to their default state, and routing power between nodes before a timer ends. The Last Taxi places a separate puzzle inside each of seven taxi Thresholds.
Neither family appears in the step lists above, because their solutions have not been verified in game yet.

Do I need a quest to start the laundry puzzle? No. The door opens whenever the switches match.
The rows do not match my machines. Count the out of order machines. They count as zeros and shift the line.
What do I get from the gallery? A hidden passage rather than a quest reward, in the same family as the laundry secret.
